Biography: Jarosław Kwiecień is a CTO of CancerCenter.ai, the company founded to improve cancer diagnostics by developing innovative IT solutions. During his education he has achieved success in many programming competitions, including 1st place (twice) in a famous Polish competition “Algorithmic Engagements”, 4th and 5th place in academic worldwide competition “ACM ICPC”. Furthermore he was awarded 3rd prize for the best Master’s thesis in Computer Science in Poland. In CancerCenter he’s involved in both Data Science/Machine learning and software.

Cancer Center Co-Founder and CTO has achieved outstanding results at several programming contests:
1st place in Algorithmic Engagements (Algorithmic Skirmishes) in 2015 and 2017; 13th place in International Olympiad in Informatics all-time “Hall of Fame”; two silver medals at the ICPC World Finals – the most prestigious student programming contest in the world. He won the second silver medal (World Finals 2020) in a team with Adam Zyzik – another excellent software developer of Cancer Center. He graduated (Individual Studies in Computer Science and Mathematics): Mathematics and Computer Science 2nd degree. He received the scholarship of the Minister of Science and Higher Education twice – in 2017 and 2019. In 2017, he co-authored the paper “Text-based adventures of the golovin AI agent”, which was accepted to the conference “IEEE Symposium on Computational Intelligence and Games, CIG 2017” in the United States. In 2019, he placed 6th in the International Collegiate Programming Contest. Since 2017, he has been working on the CancerCenter team on topics such as machine learning (especially neural networks), natural language processing, image analysis, backend development, and frontend development.
