He began his medical journey at Monash University, graduating with an MBBS (Honours) in 2019. Driven by a passion for advancing surgical knowledge, Dr. Vinod Ramachandran went on to complete a Master’s degree in Surgery and Trauma at Newcastle University, where he strengthened his academic foundation and expertise in evidence-based trauma care.
Following his postgraduate studies, he spent a formative year practicing rural medicine, gaining invaluable experience in resource-limited environments. This period fostered adaptability, independence, and a deeper appreciation of diverse healthcare challenges.
Over the past three years, Dr. Vinod Ramchandran has served as a surgical registrar across general and subspecialty units, broadening his operative and clinical expertise and reinforcing his commitment to a surgical career. Alongside his clinical practice, he maintains an active interest in academic research, contributing to several projects and publications focused on surgery and trauma.
Dedicated to education, Dr. Vinod Ramchandran also teaches and mentors medical students, a role he finds both rewarding and impactful in shaping the next generation of doctors. Looking ahead, he aspires to enter formal surgical training, continuing to build on his clinical, academic, and teaching achievements while contributing to high-quality patient care.
