Biography: Dr. Vinod Ramachandran is a Surgical Registrar currently working at a major trauma and tertiary referral hospital in Perth, Western Australia. His clinical responsibilities span a wide spectrum of surgical conditions, with significant exposure to trauma and acute care surgery, complemented by subspecialty practice in a high-volume setting.

He began his medical journey at Monash University, graduating with an MBBS (Honours) in 2019. Driven by a passion for advancing surgical knowledge, Dr. Vinod Ramachandran went on to complete a Master’s degree in Surgery and Trauma at Newcastle University, where he strengthened his academic foundation and expertise in evidence-based trauma care.

Following his postgraduate studies, he spent a formative year practicing rural medicine, gaining invaluable experience in resource-limited environments. This period fostered adaptability, independence, and a deeper appreciation of diverse healthcare challenges.

Over the past three years, Dr. Vinod Ramchandran has served as a surgical registrar across general and subspecialty units, broadening his operative and clinical expertise and reinforcing his commitment to a surgical career.
